STATE x Japan Artisan Series. The Farwell tells the story of Chicago in sculpture – cultures melting together, the past coexisting with the future. Here, an acetate front hand-crafted in STATE’s Chicago factory is joined to beta-titanium temples crafted in Sabae, Japan. A sleek, modern eye-shape is paired with a vintage-inspired soft keyhole bridge. Driving down Farwell Street, past the classic Chicago six-flats, you can imagine it still being the turn of the 20th century, but walk inside one of those buildings and you’ll see the layers of progress each generation imparts to the city.
